3 characteristics by which you can recognise good cockpit care

The interior can be as different as the tastes of car lovers are different. We have already seen it all in our everyday work in the processing industry. From fine handmade leather seats, to hand-painted door interiors, to Louis Vuitton full interior (really true!).

But all cockpits have one thing in common: If you don't take care of them regularly, they get dusty and get dirty.

For interiors that are classically made of plastic or imitation leather, one would prefer a product that not only cleans but also cares for the interior. In this article, we would like to show you the criteria by which you can recognize a product that is ideally suited to bring your cockpit back into shape.

  1. Plastic care smells good
Sounds banal at first, but the smell of a product that you come into contact with often and perhaps even daily can lead to either delight or frustration. It is not for nothing that modern vehicles have scenting systems and everyone knows what we are talking about when we say "new car scent". That is why it is important that the plastic cleaner has a pleasant and discreet smell, which in case of doubt is not biting in the nose. In addition, the scent often reveals a lot about the contents. Ingredients such as alcohol, for example, can be quickly perceived by the human nose.
  2. Even coarser soiling can be removed
Of course, there is "the one" product that does not completely degrease and clean but at the same time can apply a protective film. Therefore, interior cleaners or universal cleaners definitely have their right to exist. However, good cockpit care should be able to remove light dirt, dust and fingerprints
  3. The care product does not leave any oily residues
For us this point is the decisive criterion for the selection of cockpit maintenance. Silicone oils are often used to create a preservative effect and smoothness, which does not meet our demand for a "silky-matt finish". Some plastic care products leave a visible, shiny film and therefore also leave visible haze if the product has not been applied evenly. In addition, the treated surfaces then often feel oily. This can become unattractive, as it is not impossible that the cockpit may be touched. Who wants a greasy layer on their fingers after touching the consoles?

As you can see, the criteria for good plastic care are easy to remember and observe and you will definitely find the right product for your needs if you follow these criteria.
